With reference to Your Lordship's despatch
No.56 (F 321/50/87), of February 2örd last, I have
the
honour to report that I have received a Note
from the Minister for Foreign Affairs stating that
although it had not been previously mentioned, the
Linistry of the Colonies accept the stipulation
that Lacao obtain the whole of its requirements of
opium from India,
without being obliged to supply
itself with a minimum quantity of opium.
